Mobile Safari browser
When using as an iPad it is showing the IE desktop browser instead of the Mobile Safari browser for the iPad. How can I make it show the iPad mobile browser rather than the desktop browser?

I do not understand.
Are you using it from Visual Studio or something?

No
Our mobile app renders pages differently according to the type of device. A desktop will display buttons and pages much differently thatn a mobile browser such as Safari. Your iPad simulator thinks the source is a desktop device rather than a mobile device when using the simulator. If we want to make screencasts using the iPad simulator, it must render the pages like an iPad or mobile device, not a desktop browser.
Is there a way to make this happen with the simulator?

No
I want the simulator to act and appear like the mobile safari browser.
My mobile web app identified the device and the pages render
appropriately. Buttons are different on desktop browsers versus mobile
browser. Pages will render differently depending on the source.
When using Electric Mobile Studio via iPad simulator is is thinking that
I am coming from a desktop browser rather than Safari mobile browser.
Is there a way to make it think the iPad simulator source is a mobile
device rather than a desktop?? so that it can render the appropriate
page appearance and buttons.

On one server we use a PHP script from http://detectmobilebrowsers.mobi
On another we use the following attached

Shaun
Did you get a chance to look into the Mobile Detect issue regarding the iPad simulator? I am prepared to purchase a license and wondered if this can be resolved.
Thanks
Kevin

The second script you sent in the attachment will definitely work. I can't
access the first, as it is a commercial product.
Make sure you are running the latest version of the product. We broadcast
the correct user agent for sure.

www.mobilecws.com
This is the login screen, not the same page, but you will see by the buttons which should be for iPad

Thanks.
I thought you were applying custom styles based on the UserAgent, but it
appears you are using standard buttons. The simulator does not do
automated rounding of buttons or standard controls. Sorry for the
confusion.
