Unable to communicate with server
Hi there
I am trying to trial Electric Mobile Studio - I can download and install it ok, but when I click continue trial (to start the trial), it pops up with a message 'Unable to communicate with server'. I believe this is a problem with our firewall blocking the domain/web address it is trying to communicate with, as it works from home ok. Can you tell me what domains/server address (or addresses) it is trying to communicate with so we can add it to firewall exclusions?
Thanks
Nash

I'm having the same problem. It appears that the service the trial uses is down.

No, the service is fine. Your test fails because you are not including the proper payload.
Unfortunately some corporate firewalls cause issues for the trial. My only suggestion would be to try the product at home, and then if you like it purchase at work. The full version does not do any server checks.

We have purchased this and it is fine on the full version as you say - although it's not strictly correct what you say that it doesn't do any server checks. When activating the license I found it is still tries to connect to the server and fails the activation because it doesn't think there's an internet connection (presumably the same proxy issues as for the trial with the corporate firewall). Fortunately you have included a separate web based activation based on machine id which works ok and then it doesn't need to communicate with any servers, but just something to note for others.

Thanks, yes the (one-time) activation process does make a connection, but we provide an alternative off line purchase mode, and then after the one time activation the product never communicates to any server (e.g. you can run without any Internet connection on localhost).
Thanks.
