Windows Authentication
Hi Shaun
I have come across a problem with the tool. I have a website that requires Windows authentication. When I try on my real iPad it brings up a login box, however when I try within Electric Mobile Studio there is no login prompt and I get an unauthorized error as follows:
"HTTP Error 401.2 - Unauthorized
You are not authorized to view this page due to invalid authentication errors"
It appears as though it is trying an anonymous login which is disabled in the IIS security settings, hence it fails authorization.
Is Windows Authentication something that the tool doesn’t support?

Unfortunately Windows Auth is not supported at this time.

I have also run into this problem. Can you please tell us if it is on the roadmap and, if so, whether it is a short-term or long-term planned development.

Hi,
I have a cloud based tomcat server, and electric plum does not show the login page for that - my cloud server is ubuntu/linux, so my case has nothing to do with windows auth.
I would be interested to know why the login page does not appear - agree with Kevin above - maybe it has a username built in somewhere.

Hi sorry, I should have been more clear. No forms of challenge/auth are currently supported.
We do have it on the road map, and estimate it will land in a mid-late Summer release.

What is the status on this? Without Windows Authentication I can't test the majority of the sites that I work on.
