Defect: Unable to launch on a VM behind a corporate proxy.

I just downloaded the trial copy of your product and successfully installed it. However, I was unable to launch the program as it said it was unable to communicate with the server -- from that point it simply shut itself down without any further messages, advice, etc. I am assuming that it wasn't able to communicate as my VM is behind a proxy -- but there is no option in the launcher nor in the start menu folder to set up the proxy.

A helpful message on how to address the situation would offer a friendlier user experience ...

Does it work if you disable the proxy?

    Hi Shaun,

Sadly I don't have that option as the environment is locked down...

    Hi Shaun,

No luck with enabling the installer to handle a proxy? Without the option
I'm sadly going to have to forgo trialling the product for our workplace ...

It does handle proxies, but I think the endpoint it calls out to (a page
that ends in ".ashx") must be blocked by your corporate firewall.

    I wish I had a fix for you :(

If your company is interested in purchasing multiple copies, I would
consider building a custom version for you. Sorry for the trouble.

    I have the same problem.
VM has no access to internet, so I get the same "unable to communicate with the server" error.
Is there a way to make it work?

Unfortunately, we can't do anything about this one. I can say that the
full version does NOT require a connection to the Internet, so if you
purchase the full version you should be fine. My suggestion would be to
use the free trial from home, or somewhere that does not have the network
restriction. If you find it useful, go ahead and purchase it at work.

    Sorry for the trouble.

    Thank you for the answer.

(Unfortunately, 'from home' is not an option for me - way too complicated server application.)

    Hi Shaun,

I too have the same problem "Unable to communicate with server" because my system is behind a proxy

But if I know the URL the application is try to connect with , I can set proxy server to bypass that URL

Please provide me with the information. So that I can explore the tool .

That is a bad business practice, download a trial version, but use it from home.
